About this role

Job Description Summary The Welder is responsible for supporting welding, blending and repair operations on gas turbine components in accordance with approved work instructions, process specifications, engineering requirements, and quality standards. This role ensures welding activities are performed safely, accurately, and consistently to support production, repair, and overall operational goals. Job Description In addition to executing welding processes with a high level of skill and workmanship, this role is expected to demonstrate strong Lean behaviors, actively support problem solving, maintain 5S standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity across the line

The Welder plays an important role in driving overall Lean implementation by identifying improvement opportunities, supporting standard work, reducing waste, and helping improve process flow and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Perform welding operations in accordance with approved work instructions, process specifications, and engineering requirements. Prepare parts, surfaces, and welding equipment to ensure proper setup and process execution

Read and interpret work instructions, welding procedures, technical documentation, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate welding operations. Set up, operate, and monitor welding equipment safely and effectively. Inspect parts before, during, and after welding to ensure conformance to quality requirements

Record and maintain accurate process and production data as required. Identify welding defects, nonconforming conditions, or process abnormalities and escalate concerns as needed. Support repair and rework activities in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards

Adhere to Standard Work and Standard Work Combination Sheets to ensure consistency, quality, safety, and efficient line flow. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S st
