Acts as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of RF, high voltage designs, and EM modeling for the department. Acts as a resource and mentor for colleagues. Designs, develops, and modifies highly complex RF delivery subsystems and components
Works with multidisciplinary engineering design teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Process) team to spec, design, validate, custom and OEM RF system components. Contributes to research and development efforts for future products and technology by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs. Perform hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterization of the performance of the electrical/electro-mechanical systems
Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews. Leads cross-functional design teams and presents various stages of design reviews including conceptualization, design details, and test and validation data. Proposes, leads, and manages inter-department initiatives and makes contributions towards department business processes
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. Expert-level working experience with RF and EM Simulation Suites: Ansys Electronics Desktop, Maxwell, HFSS, Q3D, COMSOL, ,SIwave, ADS Understands tradeoffs between software suits, when to implement, and how to use each. Excellent communication and presentation skills
Outstanding analysis and trouble-shooting skills; experience with FMEA and structured problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and terminology. Ability to drive functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
