Job Description Summary The Lead Deterministic Safety Analysis (DSA) Engineer position will make immediate contributions to the team responsible for BWRX-300 deterministic safety analyses, while being technically mentored by a team of high performing engineers. The DSA team is responsible for performing safety analysis in support of various applications for BWRX-300 transient analyses, thermal hydraulic analyses, containment analysis, and stability analysis. The individual will work within an energetic team environment to perform thermal-hydraulic and plant transient analyses to support a variety of applications encompassing BWRX-300 DSA
The position offers limitless opportunities to learn the fundamental bases of nuclear power plant operations and safety analysis by applying state-of-the-art thermal hydraulics methods to satisfy licensing requirements and solve real day-to-day plant problems. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: As the Lead Deterministic Safety Analysis Engineer, you will: Lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses . Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses.
