Job Description As a Lead Controls and Automation Engineer , you will be responsible for delivering control system projects primarily for Marine, Offshore and Naval applications
This technical role entails working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to design, implement and test our Controls & Automation Systems solutions to meet both customer and marine classification society requirements. In this role you will focus on: Supporting the engineering activities during the production of control systems from the receipt of an order to handing over to the customer after commissioning and testing on the vessel at sea. Providing a technical interface to customers, classification societies, and suppliers
Producing design, installation, and test documentation; maintaining this documentation throughout the project cycle. Working with the Drawing Office to produce equipment drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, cable interconnection drawings, and interface schedules. Performing the functional design of HMI, PLC Architecture, Networks, and Communications Interfaces using standard hardware and software components
Writing PLC software using IEC 61131-3 programming languages e.g., Ladder diagram (LD), Function block diagram (FBD), Structured text (ST), Instruction list (IL), and Sequential function chart (SFC). Designing, tagging, and testing control system mimics using HMI SCADA packages. Planning and progressing design and test activities to meet the required delivery dates
