Engineer, CVD/DIFF DRAM
Micron Technology Β· Boise, ID - Main Site, United States
About this role
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. Serve as the critical link between process integration, assembly manufacturing, and external vendors
Apply surface chemistry, ALD/PECVD fundamentals, reaction kinetics, and device physics to design, qualify, and scale thin film processes that deliver superior within wafer (WIW) uniformity, edge-of-wafer performance, yield, and cost. Lead structured root cause analysis for film non-uniformity, drift, defectivity, and integration issues. Define and fan out process windows that are manufacturable across multiple tools and sites
Partner with tool and material suppliers to co-develop chamber hardware and precursor delivery improvements. Collaborate with suppliers to test hardware and process techniques with focus on reliability and manufacturability. Design DOEs/JMP studies to optimize growth-per-cycle (GPC), nucleation, conformality, and film properties; implement changes at the process step level
Ensure readiness through chamber matching, recipe normalization, documentation, and training. Reduce consumables and cycle time through chemistry utilization efficiency, purge optimization, and hardware/recipe modifications. Support site-to-site technology transfer via spec alignment, hardware parity, tool qualifications, inclusive and matching
Support internal/external audits; maintain compliance with quality systems and change control. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field. Position requires: 1
JMP-statistical analysis program 2. DOE-statistical analysis technique 3. Statistical Process Control 4
