The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed
Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results

Job Description At GE Vernova in Rugby, we design and build some of the most technically demanding rotating electrical machines in the industry — systems that sit at the heart of the world's energy infrastructure. As an Electro-mechanical Design Engineer, you'll take a leading role in the specification, analysis, and engineering of large electrical machines, bringing together electromagnetic design, finite element analysis, and hands-on prototype work to push machine performance further
This is a role for an engineer who is as comfortable leading detailed analytical studies as they are collaborating with customers and manufacturing partners — someone who wants to shape both the technology and the team around them. What You'll Do You'll lead and contribute across the full machine design cycle — from requirements capture through to prototype testing and design
