Company: Finning Canada Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: Finning Canada is seeking an Electrical Inspector in Fort McMurray to support customer‑owned Electric Rope Shovels and enhance the performance and maintenance of mining equipment in alignment with Caterpillar OEM standards and specifications. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, conducting scheduled customer visits, and resolving customer concerns. The position also plays a key role in forecasting and supporting future customer requirements to ensure optimal equipment reliability and satisfaction

Job Description: Major Job Functions: Based on technical audits of the machine, the Electrical Inspector will make recommendations to the customer on what components will need to be changed. Support troubleshooting efforts to resolve shovel downtime as quickly as possible. Minimize downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduled

Responsible for scheduling customer visits, setting agendas and writing reports. Send technical analysis to the customers and provide the customer with recommended service options. Liaison with Finning Parts Department to have the necessary parts delivered to the Mining customers

Must develop and maintain open lines of communication with all supportive departments. Accountability: Ensure analysis and maintenance/repair recommendations are provided to appropriate groups in a timely manner Provide solutions in a timely manner Recommendation of safety solutions Rapid escalation to the appropriate individuals and/ or groups of any machine down situations Ensure that 80% of time is customer-facing Machine availability Mandatory (Must-Have) Skills: Seasoned Electrician or P.Eng with significant electrical experience or with appropriate mining experience Experience in a customer service role Electric Rope Shovel equipment knowledge Siemens PLC and Motor Drive experience Mining background and experience Mechanica
