Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>WELDER (STARSHIP)</strong></p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Fabricate, weld, and assemble various subassemblies for Starship </li> <li>Operate and utilize advanced manufacturing equipment such as robots, spot welders, hand-held laser welders, automated welders, seam welders, and press brakes</li> <li>Perform routine maintenance procedures for up-keep on tooling and equipment as required</li> <li>Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers</li> <li>Read and interpret technical drawings, and follow detailed work instructions</li> <li>Perform blending, filing, and fit-up of sheet metal piece parts</li> <li>Load, lift and unload parts with use of cranes, forklifts, and custom tools</li> <li>Check work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure it is complete per drawing</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>1+ years of experience in hardware assembly, test, maintenance, material handling, and/or installation; OR certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, manufacturing, and/or electronics</li> <li>1+ years of experience with TIG welding in a manufacturing environment or certificate of completion for TIG welding from an accredited program within the last 2 years</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in welding with one or more of the following materials: stainless steel, carbon steel, Inconel, aluminum or titanium</li> <li>Experience with aerospace TIG welding</li> <li>Proficient in cutting,
