As a full-time, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact by ensuring the accuracy of medication orders, verifying technician-prepared products, and safeguarding controlled substances. You'll contribute to a high-performing team by mentoring new staff, maintaining seamless daily operations, and supporting the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance
Schedule: This full-time, nonexempt position will work up to 40 hours/week in a variety of shifts Location: Coast Plaza Doctor's Hospital in Norwalk, CA offers 117 licensed beds, including a 37-bed Behavioral Health unit, and a complete in-house range of Emergency Department Services 24/7 Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy utilizes CPOE and ADC-Pyxis with Pyxis automation/software. Pharmacy hours are Monday - 7:00am-8:30pm; Tuesday-Friday - 7:30am-8:30pm; and Saturday & Sunday - 8:00am-4:30pm. Remote pharmacy services are provided overnight and after these listed pharmacy hours Primary Responsibilities: Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patien
