THE ROLE We are hiring a highly technical and creative AI Research Engineer to join our AI team. You will research, prototype, and implement advanced AI techniques, contribute to internal innovation, and help share practical AI learnings for developers building on high-performance AMD hardware. THE PERSON You are comfortable turning cutting-edge research into practical outcomes

You can explain complex AI ideas clearly and build prototypes that demonstrate real-world impact. You stay current with fast-moving developments in generative AI and enjoy collaborating across teams. You are motivated by problems with substantial headroom for improvement, where thoughtful engineering and research can deliver outsized impact

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Research, prototype, and implement modern AI methods (for example: reasoning post-training, reinforcement learning approaches, and new generative model techniques). Translate advanced AI concepts into clear technical content and demos for broad developer audiences. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing around model training, inference, and optimization Build and improve practical workflows for deploying and showcasing AI capabilities on AMD platforms
