ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY ENGINEER</strong></p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, ASTM, ANSI and other applicable regulatory agencies</li> <li>Collaborate with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies and procedures</li> <li>Oversee and communicate industrial hygiene programs to relevant personnel, including developing and executing exposure monitoring plans</li> <li>Implement controls to mitigate chemical and dust exposure hazards</li> <li>Evaluate and implement machine guarding for complex and high-volume automated equipment</li> <li>Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations</li> <li>Design and deliver chemical-specific awareness training</li> <li>Complete and maintain documented safety observations from regular hazard identification audits</li> <li>Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine root causes, corrective actions and preventive measures</li> <li>Develop, implement and maintain emergency response protocols</li> <li>Assist with compliance for all applicable environmental regulations established by the EPA, RCRA, DOT, TECQ and other applicable regulatory agencies</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree</li> <li>5+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of environmental, health and safety disciplines</li> </ul>
