ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH &amp; SAFETY ENGINEER</strong></p> <p><span data-teams="true">As part of a small, hardworking team of technicians and engineers, you will provide technical expertise and assist in the implementation of all environmental, health and safety programs at the Rocket Development &amp; Test Site

The ideal candidate is highly skilled with both environmental and occupational safety fields, hands-on, and works well in a fast-paced environment. We work as a highly integrated team and job responsibilities will include helping other programs to ensure the overall success of SpaceX.</span></p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by OSHA, NFPA and NIOSH and other applicable regulatory agencies</li> <li>Collaborate with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies and procedures</li> <li>Monitor employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards</li> <li>Understand and implement machine guarding where needed</li> <li>Develop recommendations for remedial actions when safety policies are not met by employees</li> <li>Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations</li> <li>Complete and maintain documented safety observations from regular hazard identification audits</li> <li>Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine root causes, corrective actions and preventive measures</li> <li>Develop, implement and maintain safety contingency pl
