Server Performance Analysis Engineer THE ROLE: AMD is looking for an outstanding technical leader to help analyze and optimize performance of EPYC based servers for cloud, enterprise and HPC and Machine Learning workloads. THE PERSON: Successful candidates in this role have broad interests in Computer Systems performance, with strong expertise in Computer Architecture, keen attention to detail, excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and spoken), ability to work independently and come up with creative solutions to challenging engineering problems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Characterize the properties of Cloud, Enterprise, HPC/ML/AI workloads Analyze performance profiling data, traces and simulation data to quantify and isolate performance bottlenecks on current generation hardware

Capture traces, run simulations of future designs and highlight key performance sensitivities and bottlenecks to microarchitecture development teams Work with relevant software teams to drive optimizations based on performance analysis into key server software components (linux, compiler, Java, KVM, etc).
