The Senior Rhapsody Interface Engineer / Server Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining, evolving, and scaling Optum's healthcare integration platform. This position combines hands-on Rhapsody platform administration with advanced interface engineering and technical leadership responsibilities. In this role, you will own the reliability, performance, and architecture of the Rhapsody environment while designing and supporting complex clinical integrations across Epic, Oracle Health, and third party systems
You will also serve as a technical mentor, helping grow and guide a high performing Integration Engineering team supporting mission critical healthcare workflows. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges
For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: Platform Ownership & Server Administration Serve as a senior technical owner for the Rhapsody integration platform across multiple environments Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Rhapsody, including backups, disaster recovery, and environment hardening Administer Red Hat Linux and Windows servers, including access controls, security patching, performance tuning, and system upgrades Monitor system health, availability, and performance; troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues Design and maintain high availability architectures, including
