POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible to develop, promote, implement, and manage all policies and programs necessary to fully comply with Nestlé Modesto’s Safety, Health, and Environmental Programs and Loss Control Objectives. Make recommendations and assist with improvements, including industrial hygiene (IH) studies and ensure environmental compliance according to EPA regulations, to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
Develops and coordinates all safety and environmental training and ensures proper communication at all levels of the plant through the utilization of committees, staff, and other team members, to achieve compliance with Federal, State, and Local Government regulations. Manage workers’ compensation program including issues relating to medical files, first-aid and injury management, modified duty, temporary transitional duty, ADA, and litigation. Primary contact and resources for union and management regarding all safety issues and their resolution
