Introduction to the job In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics. Role and responsibilities As a Process Engineer for cleaning technology , you play a key role in ensuring stable, efficient, and future‑ready manufacturing processes
Your responsibilities include: Process ownership: Independently manage assigned cleaning processes (e.g. wet or blasting cleaning); take over additional processes with support from senior engineers or line management. Monitoring & optimization: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods (e.g
SPC) to drive continuous improvement in yield, cost, and cycle time. Implement improvements: Execute simple optimizations independently and support more complex process changes in line with TGP. Availability & maintenance: Ensure process availability and define maintenance plans for cleaning processes (excluding operational maintenance activities)
Documentation & training: Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (AAWs, REZs, work instructions) and train production teams as a certified trainer. NPI & technologies: Adapt existing cleaning processes, introduce new cleaning technologies, and contribute to NPI, PCCSIMs, and ramp‑up projects. Risk, decisions & collaboration: Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment selection and procurement, and collaborate closely across production, engineering, D&E, and R&T
Education and experience You hold a degree in a technical or natural science field. You bring relevant professional experience in a production and technical environment, enabling you to independently manage processes and support ramp‑up projects. You take shared responsibility for process execution on semi‑ to fully automated cleaning systems for wet and blasting cleaning processes
