<h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></span></h1>As an operator in an aerospace environment, you will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning & repairing of customer returned units. During this process you will also support testing, warranty and engineering requirements.<p></p><p></p><h1><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><ul><li>Strip down of propeller components and apply minor salvages.</li><li>Work to drawings, manuals, specifications and business procedures.</li><li>Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the process.</li><li>Highlight and record defects.</li><li>Work to H&S regulations and understand the risks within the environment.</li><li>Support engineering / quality investigations and project work as and when required.</li><li>Support cost-out/lean initiatives, EHS/ergonomic activities, housekeeping inspections and continuous improvement projects.</li><li>Book in parts and be trained to use various lifting devices.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications/Requirements</b></p><ul><li>The ability to work on mechanical and hydraulic components.</li><li>The ability to utilise detailed manuals, drawings and other documentation to complete the task.</li><li>High level attention to detail.</li><li>High quality and accurate work output</li><li>Good manual dexterity.</li><li>Good communication skills.</li><li>Self-motivated and the ability to work within a team.</li><li>Ability to work varied shift patterns when required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired Characteristics</b></p><ul><li>Good team player who is inclusive in their approach.</li><li>Able to work on own initiative.</li><li>Outstanding integrity.</li><li>Able to multi-task and deal with a varied work load.</li><li>Flexible and willing to support other areas if required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Flexible Working</b></p><p><br />GE Aerospace supports and encourages flexible working arrangements, where possible, and recognises the benefits to employees
