Mechanical Systems Technician

About this role

Maintenance & Technical Execution · Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment such as Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Engines, gearboxes, and related mechanical systems. · Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools, vibration analysis, and equipment history. · Support overhauls, breakdowns, and planned shutdown activities

· Ensure all work is performed according to engineering drawings, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and maintenance procedures. · Identify recurring mechanical problems and recommend long‑term solutions. Safety & Compliance · Execute maintenance work in strict compliance with safety procedures MOC (Management of change), JRA (Job Risk Analyses), Control of Work, Start Work Checks

· Participate in toolbox talks and actively contribute to a safe working environment. · Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and compliance checks. · Ensure proper hazardous energy isolation and safe work practices

Project & Integrity Support · Assist with mechanical scopes of projects, upgrades. · Support asset integrity programs including vibration monitoring, lubrication management, and equipment condition assessments. · Participate in commissioning and start-up of new rotating equipment

· Collaborate with inspection teams on mechanical integrity and equipment health assessments. Collaboration with Supply Chain · Identify required spare parts and support procurement of mechanical components and consumables. · Ensure proper storage and preservation of spare parts

· Assist with coordination of specialized vendors and third‑party maintenance services. Maintenance Planning & CMMS · Provide feedback to planners and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) superusers for scheduling improvement. · Update CMMS with detailed work order information
