Position Summary The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating design activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and safety standards

This role involves project planning for mechanical systems related to new and retrofit design and construction, a strong focus on system knowledge, equipment installation, handover plan, and project closeout. Additionally, the position requires management of design engineering firms for new and retrofit projects. The engineer will monitor design packages and field installations for large engineering construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements

It is essential to maintain code compliance with mechanical standards, building codes, plumbing codes, and environmental regulations throughout the construction lifecycle. The engineer is also responsible for ensuring system performance for new construction, remodel construction, and sustaining operation evaluation of existing facilities. This includes identifying, tracking, managing, resolving, and communicating project issues throughout all phases of project-related work

The role involves leading strategic fabrication and support project planning for mechanical systems related to new and retrofit construction. Furthermore, the engineer will develop, review, and approve site construction specifications pertaining to mechanical piping, equipment, and the associated distribution rooms and buildings.
