POSITION SUMMARY As a Materials Planning Coordinator, you will assist the Materials Manager with the procurement of high-quality ingredients in volumes consistent with plant usage, market structures and division guidelines. You will set up logistical movements of contracted ingredients via rail and truck conveyances, with the overview to minimize freight costs. In addition, the Materials Planning Coordinator will monitor the progress of these conveyance movements to constantly maintain optimum inventories, while protecting scheduled production, and minimizing ingredient substitutions as well as rail/truck detention
