Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>CNC MACHINIST (STARSHIP COMPONENTS) - LEVEL 4/5</strong></p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operate CNC machines and produce flight hardware needed to achieve program level production rate goals</li> <li>Perform precision set-ups of various CNC machines on state-of-the-art assets</li> <li>Prioritize daily work to ensure high machine uptime across the shop/area of your responsibility</li> <li>Manage cutting tools in CNC machines to ensure that machines have the needed cutting tools loaded and measured before they are called in upcoming programs</li> <li>Deburr hardware in your work center to contribute to deliveries to our downstream customers</li> <li>Operate clean line equipment, laser part marking, and general part finishing requirements</li> <li>Operate and effectively use calibrated devices to ensure hardware exiting the machine shop is conforming and meets print requirements</li> <li>Perform CNC machine preventative maintenance on a weekly and monthly basis</li> <li>Maintain the shop in terms of chip bins, oils, greases, 5S and general upkeep activities</li> <li>Remain flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and support teammates however possible</li> <li>Complete work instructions and test plans to document needed data throughout each process</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>8+ years of experience in CNC machining</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience operating CNC machinery</li> <li>Motivation to learn technical aspects of CNC machining</li> <li>Abi
