Located at our South Texas site, this role supports tight-tolerance machining for critical infrastructure
The team develops high-performance flight and launch hardware, including systems for rapid and reliable rocket operations.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Program, set, and operate multi-axis (up to 5-axis) computer numerical control (CNC) mills and lathes</li> <li>Inspect parts using tools to verify dimensions</li> <li>Execute machining operations from blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions on complex, tight-tolerance across various materials</li> <li>Meet productivity expectations</li> <li>Communicate production issues to shop leadership</li> <li>Provide continuous feedback for process improvements</li> <li>Cross-train in other lab operations (e.g., fixture build, testing support) as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>3+ years of experience in setup, operation, and/or programming of CNC mills and lathes</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in basic G-Code, including adjustments to feeds/speeds</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), notes, and tolerances</li> <li>Experience using hand inspection tools to verify machined features</li> <li>Familiarity with multiple CNC controls (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Siemens) and programming software (e.g., Mastercam or similar)</li> <li>Experience
