Assistant Manager, Product Support

About this role

Company : Sime Darby Industrial Power Managing the overall activities and operation of the department to achieve department budget. These include selling, marketing and product support services ensuring maximum customers coverage, monitoring market situation and identifying after sales potential of Perkins products. Overall supervision and ensure compliance of standing instructions in all business dealings are carried out systematically without undermining the company’s image and to achieve department profitability by ensuring proper, efficient, effective, safe and economical operations of department by controlling, directing and motivating all personnel in the department

As a main coordinator for existing customers, potential customers and head office in areas of product acceptance and performance, competitive information and potential market growth. Responsible for after sales of the Perkins products. Responsible for meeting department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on product supports overall sales, inventory movement and profitability

To ensure success of parts and service merchandising campaigns such as lubricants, filters, engine parts and Hypercare campaigns. Responsible to manage and develop Parts and Service Sales & team members to meet challenges in market environment through coaching, problem solving, training and strategizing. Ensure execution of parts sales and administration are carried out according to the policy and guideline set

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring maximum customers coverage. Responsible to develop, maintain and promote corporate market image through customers satisfaction. To submit and update Head of business on competitive activities and recommend / take appropriate remedial action to protect / improve sales

Responsible to ensure coordination and cooperation between equipment sales and product supports teams. Responsible for developing and maintaining good contact and relationship with both internal and external custome
