About this role

This is what you will do: The Associate Director, Data Steward plays a central role in maximizing the value of organizational data and establishing a highly reliable data utilization environment. This position will closely collaborate with the ADO (Alexion Data Office), taking the lead in designing and implementing quality management, standardization, and governance frameworks for diverse data assets both within and outside the organization. Under the enterprise data strategy driven by the ADO, you will contribute to building scalable data foundations to accelerate rapid insight generation and data-driven decision making

Additionally, you will lead the application and operation of governance structures in compliance with global standards set by AstraZeneca, while also ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and maintaining license to operate (LTO). This includes clarifying data accountability and designing and operating practical, agile governance models aligned with organizational strategies, incorporating automation to enhance data discovery and usability. Through quality management, anomaly monitoring, and data literacy initiatives, you will provide support for management decisions and strategy development from a data perspective, and contribute to patient-centric value creation as well as expanding diagnostic and treatment opportunities in the rare disease area
