<h3>The Position</h3><p><u><b><b>2026 </b><b>Fall</b><b> Intern - </b><b>Prescient Frontier Research (GSAB)</b></b></u></p><p></p><p><b><b>Department Summary</b></b></p><p></p><p><span>Frontier Research is a specialized unit within the Computational Sciences CoE at Genentech / Roche, dedicated to foundational machine learning research and the development of new algorithmic frameworks. We seek an exceptional graduate student intern with a demonstrated research background in machine learning, a passion for independent research and technical problem-solving, and a proven ability to develop and implement research ideas.</span></p><p></p><p><span>This internship position is located in</span><b> South San Francisco, on-site. </b></p><p></p><p><b><b>The Opportunity</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Participate in cutting-edge research in sampling and generative modeling, with potential applications to drug discovery.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop well-documented code to facilitate adoption of the methods.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to and drive publications, and present results at internal and external scientific conferences.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Program Highlights</b></b></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Program start dates are in September (Fall).</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship
